Rosacea is a chronic condition of the skin characterized by redness of the face, flushing and sometimes acne like lesions. It usually appears in adulthood and after the age of 30.
Although anyone can develop this condition, it is most common in individuals with fair skin tone and family history of rosacea.
Treatment of rosacea depends on the severity and subtypes of the condition. Topical and oral medications can be used to control and treat this condition. Laser treatments have also been proven to be effective.
